Carpet & Flooring Fitter / Trainee Fitter

Salary: £21,000 – £45,000+ per year (Depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Location: Witney and surrounding areas (Ideally candidates to be based locally)

We are actively recruiting both experienced professionals and motivated trainees looking to learn a highly skilled trade.

What We Offer:

Competitive Salary: Starting from £21,500+ for entry-level trainees (aligned with age/minimum wage), scaling to £45k plus for top-tier, fully independent, experienced fitters.
Company Vehicle & Fuel: Fully maintained company van and fuel card provided (available for experienced fitters only).

Key Responsibilities:

Install a wide range of flooring types including carpets, vinyl, LVT, laminate, and wood. Carry out subfloor preparation including ply boarding and screeding.
Handle a mix of domestic and commercial projects.
Ensure a flawless finish.
Deliver excellent customer service while working tidily on site.

What We Are Looking For:

For Experienced Fitters: Proven track record fitting carpets, vinyl, LVT, laminate, or wood. Experience with commercial contract work is preferable, but not essential. Must hold a valid UK driving licence to use the company vehicle.
For Trainees: A strong work ethic, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn. Own transport to get to work/site is beneficial.

Subcontract Carpet & Flooring Fitter (Self-Employed)

Salary: £180 – £250+ per day / Price work available

Job Type: Subcontract

Hours: Flexible project workflows available usually between 8:30am – 4:30pm

Location: Witney and surrounding areas (Ideally fitters to be based locally)

About Us:

Carpet Options is an established flooring specialist with a packed book of upcoming projects. To handle our expanding workload, we are seeking skilled, self-employed flooring subcontractors who take pride in their craft to assist on local installations. Although you will be self-employed, we are looking for long term members to assist the team.

What We Offer:

Consistent Pipeline: Regular local jobs without the hassle or cost of finding your own leads. We cut up and prepare all floorcoverings saving you time to be able to get on with your days’ work. We can pair people to work in teams, so you are not working alone.
Prompt Weekly Pay: Competitive, reliable rates paid directly upon successful completion of work.

Requirements:

Strong expertise fitting carpets, vinyl, LVT, laminate and wood to an exceptional standard.
Experience handling commercial work is a bonus but not essential.
Own reliable van and complete set of professional trade tools.
Public Liability Insurance (minimum £1m or £2m coverage).
High standard of customer service and workspace tidiness.
